Costs

The Conferment Ceremony is a unique kind of celebration. As a multi-day event, it is an unforgettable way to honour the completed degree and close a chapter in one’s life. The participation fees cover less than half of the total costs of organizing the ceremony while the University supports the ceremony with a considerable portion of its expenses. In addition, we are actively searching for companies and other communities to act as sponsors for the Ceremony.

Participation costs

The participation fee of the Conferment Ceremony covers all three days of festivities, including for example two gala dinners, a ball with a buffet dinner, the Conferment Excursion and the Conferment Matricula. It is possible to participate alone (solo) or with a companion (avec). The companion may be for example a friend, a significant other or a family member.

For a promovendi attending the Conferment Ceremony alone (solo), the participation fee is 300 euros. It is also possible to attend the Conferment Ceremony with a companion (avec), in which case the participation fee is 500 euros. If both are promovendi (going to be conferred), each participant pays the solo fee of 300 euros.

It is also possible to only take part in the Conferement Act and its rehearsal, in which case the participation fee is 100 euros solo or with a companion. The fee also includes the Matricula. Furthermore, it is possible to take part while being absent (absens), in which case the promovendus will have their name and information entered in the Matricula as well as the right to wear the insignia of their academic degree. The participation fee is 100 euros for those, who are participating while being absent. The fee also includes the Matricula.

The Flower’s Day Lunch is not included in the regular participation fee of the ceremony but is instead paid separately. The participation fee for the Flower’s Day Lunch is 70 euros. The other Flower’s Day events are free of charge.
